Safari Audio Everything Bundle Version 2 updates a collection of audio plugins with new processing features, improved metering, gain compensation, redesigned controls, and a brand-new effect called Cosmic Parrot Echo. The update focuses on practical mixing and production tools while retaining the distinctive character of Safari Audio’s effects and instruments.
In my latest video, I take a look at several of the new features, including Link Gain, Smart Gain, and a battery simulation in Cobra Fuzz that recreates the sound changes associated with a weakening guitar-pedal battery. I also go through the major updates to the existing plugins and take a first look at what Cosmic Parrot Echo brings to the collection.
Link Gain and Smart Gain
One of the useful additions in Safari Audio’s Version 2 plugins is the combination of Link Gain and Smart Gain. These features help make level management easier when working with effects, particularly when comparing processed and unprocessed audio.
Link Gain allows the input and output levels to move together. This makes it possible to adjust the level entering a plugin while compensating for the resulting output change.
Smart Gain takes a different approach by automatically adjusting the level to help match the processed signal with the original. When switching a plugin on and off, level matching makes it easier to judge the actual tonal and dynamic changes instead of simply preferring whichever version sounds louder.
Cobra Fuzz and the Battery Feature
Cobra Fuzz Version 2 includes a particularly interesting feature: a battery simulation. Classic guitar pedals can behave differently as their batteries lose power, and those changes can create distinctive distortion and tonal effects.
Safari Audio’s battery control recreates that behavior digitally. By adjusting the simulated battery condition, you can deliberately degrade the sound and explore effects that go beyond conventional fuzz distortion. It’s an unusual feature, but it offers another creative option for guitar tones, electronic sounds, and experimental processing.
What’s New in the Safari Audio Version 2 Plugins?
The update includes changes across several of Safari Audio’s established effects.
- Bull Submachine Version 2: Improved DSP, smart metering, and gain compensation.
- Cobra Fuzz Version 2: Updated DSP, an Octavator function, smart metering, gain compensation, and battery simulation.
- Flamingo Verb 2: Freeze Mode, new impulse responses, improved CPU performance, and a new compressor section.
- Fox Echo Chorus: Three chorus types, Mid-Side processing, and independent left-right processing.
- Gorilla Drive: Transient shaping and independent low- and high-frequency controls.
- Rabbit Tape Version 2: Granular Wow and Flutter controls and two tape types.
- The Herd Version 2: A new Mid-Side mode, updated mastering console, limiter, smarter mastering controls, and de-essing.
- Camel Strip Version 2: A redesigned interface, updated metering, transient shaping, and Smart Gate functionality.
- Time Machine Version 2: Separate compression and saturation controls for more independent adjustment.
Safari Audio has also updated its preset system and improved tag-based searching in the Super Key series, helping users find sounds and settings more efficiently.
Meet Cosmic Parrot Echo
The headline new addition is Cosmic Parrot Echo, a vintage-inspired effect combining tape delay, wobble, and spring reverb. These effects can add movement, modulation, space, and character to instruments, vocals, and other audio sources.
Rather than treating delay and reverb as purely corrective tools, Cosmic Parrot Echo is designed around creative sound shaping. Its combination of tape-style echoes, wobble, and spring reverb makes it worth exploring for anyone interested in vintage-inspired textures and less conventional effects.
What Is Included in the Everything Bundle?
Safari Audio’s official Everything Bundle product page describes a collection of more than 31 plugins, instruments, and studio tools covering mixing, mastering, saturation, modulation, reverb, delay, amplification, synthesis, and creative utilities. The broader collection includes tools such as Dragon EQ, Lion Master, Zebra Clipper, Level-Or, Cassette Bunny, Polyrex, Planet of the Amps, and Meaw Assist.
The bundle is intended to provide a range of production tools in one collection, from everyday mix processing to more experimental sound design. Safari Audio lists a perpetual license, meaning the purchase is not a recurring monthly subscription. The product page also provides a free 14-day trial and information about supported systems and plugin formats.
Pricing and included products can change, so check the official product page for the current offer, compatibility details, and licensing terms.
Final Thoughts
Safari Audio’s Version 2 update adds practical workflow improvements alongside more creative features. Link Gain and Smart Gain address everyday level-management tasks, while the battery simulation in Cobra Fuzz offers a more experimental approach to distortion. The individual plugin updates also bring new options for modulation, tape effects, mastering, and dynamics processing.
Cosmic Parrot Echo is the new addition to watch, particularly if you enjoy vintage tape delay, wobble, and spring reverb. If you’re already using Safari Audio plugins, the changes are worth investigating; if you’re new to the collection, the Everything Bundle brings together a broad range of effects, instruments, and studio utilities.
