Apple has released Logic Pro 12.4, but this isn’t a major feature update. Instead, the latest version focuses primarily on fixes, stability, and smaller workflow improvements.
One new addition is Merge Custom Key Commands, which makes it easier to combine custom key command sets.
Apple has also fixed issues involving the Eraser Tool, MIDI Cycle Recording with Takes, unexpected quits, Flex Time, Flex Pitch, Drum Machine Designer, plug-ins, Chord Tracks, automation, the Sound Library, Step Sequencer, and more.
One fix that caught my attention is that Audio Unit plug-ins should no longer disappear from the top level of the Plug-in Manager after restarting Logic Pro. The File Editor also now supports Undo.
So while Logic Pro 12.4 doesn’t introduce a bunch of new toys, it does address quite a few problems that could affect everyday workflows.
